A full day of action on Thursday brought several results in all the different sports.
From the speed racing Rob Douglas managed to take back the lead from Alex Caizergue. Antoine Albeau was once again Rob’s closest competitor as the more favourable speed conditions brought faster speeds. Rob was back on his course board as was youngster Benoit Gaudiot who was the surprise of the day. A fully laid out style brought with it the third place on the podium for Ben, knocking Alex Caizergue down to 4th places.
The second of the X’trem Air comps was a best trick format with the competition being run early as the forecast was for the wind to drop….but this is Leucate. The wind was still picking up as the competition was over. Kevin was frustrated with a toe injury and Val Garat took the win from his older brother Seb with Paul Serin in third.
The PWA also saw a completed doubles table and with some moves never seen on the tour before it was a really great day. The strong winds found World Champ Gullito (Estredo Jose) battling it out with the Belgian Steven van Broeck in the final
